Spectacular singapore

well we got away ok all arriving at the airport from three different directions at much the same time which was a great relief. Flight was very comfortable, well as comfortable as economy class can be.

Arrival at Singapore and customs and immigration very busy. Still our bus was waiting for us and Treetops apartments are fantastic. We have two 2 bedroom apartments with all the bells and whistles. Each bedroom has its own en suite so we are very comfortable. The pool is amazing and we tested it out the first night. We have squirrels in our garden and the resort is very environmentally friendly.

On our first day we decided to take it easy so we hit the shops. Two shopping malls later we were exhausted so returned back to the pool. So very hot here. In the evening we went to the Singapore zoo night safari. What a fantastic experience it is. The animals are so close and we all enjoyed it. Only problem was no photographs other than this one from the animal show and of course my favourite animal the elephant

We got home about 11.00 so very big day. Kids were impressed that Singapore was called Singaporeans which means Lion City. The Merlion
which has the head of a lion and body of a fish rides the waves of the sea and is the national symbol.

Next day we did the Botanic gardens. These are one of only three UNESCO listed gardens and they were spectacular. Lots of locals exercising walking dogs and jogging. The orchid garden was just unbelievable

Then back to Newtons Circus Food Court for lunch. Think boys were disappointed not to see any clowns but food was excellent.

Then back to the pool for us and the boys. Taylah and Andrea hit the ships again and walked home in the rain. Wish I had taken a photo of their beautiful curly hair.
The off to catch s bum boat to cross the river at dusk. So beautiful I will just post photos. Only devastating thing was Andreas phone and all her photograph was lost overboard
So at some stage in millennia to come a phone will be found and future generations will know our family.

So our first few days have been really busy and more to come. Stay safe everyone.
Love lyn darrell andrea taylah tom.pat same and jude.
